Days of Hope in Veszprém
Dr. Jane Goodall, the world-renowned primatologist, researcher of chimpanzee life, and UN Goodwill Ambassador will visit Hungary in May. The University of Pannonia was honored to organize the HOPE program series to welcome the nature and environmental activist.
In connection with the visit of the world-famous ethologist Jane Goodall to Hungary, the "Days of Hope" will be held in Veszprém from May 7-11, 2023. The event was named HOPE, reflecting the scientist's book published in 2022.
The primary goal of the series of programs is to draw attention to the importance of moving toward sustainability as soon as possible.
Our aim is to reach as many target groups as possible with the program offer.
The program will be broadcast live from 13:00 to 15:00 on the University's YouTube channel.

IMPORTANT TECHNICAL INFORMATION REGARDING JANE GOODALL'S VISIT
„MY GREATEST HOPE IN THIS TIME IS THE YOUNG PEOPLE” (Jane Goodall)
Dr. Jane Goodall's faith and hope in young people is admirable. In addition to her research and activities as a nature conservation activist, her main pursuit is for the future generation to find meaning and purpose for themselves with a positive view of nature. We want to support the mentoring work of the world-famous scientist by having more than 300 school students, university students, teachers and instructors participate in the program.
We are very proud of our employees, students, and the residents of Veszprém who are committed to environmental protection and sustainability, and we are very happy about the huge interest.
However, the capacity of the venue is limited, so for security reasons, Jane Goodall's presentation in Veszprém and the plenary program will be available live online on the University's YouTube channel.
On May 8, 2023, only the book presentation discussion starting at 4:00 p.m. and the presentation of Zichó Viktor starting at 4:30 p.m. are open, but registration is required. Registration: on the website until 05.03.2023.
The implementation of the event is supported by the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture program. One of the goals of the program is to show a responsible direction toward environmental awareness, as well as to implement developments that serve the region's environmental values in the long term. We reserve the right to change the program.
